Last 9 weeks (24 Aug–25 Oct 2026)

Campaign waves: which brand concentrated when?

  • Herbal Essences: 92 distinct contents / 7 d · 233 account-content rows / 9 weeks. Peak: week of 19 Oct, 92 account-content rows
  • Bioxcin: 70 distinct contents / 7 d · 442 account-content rows / 9 weeks. Peak: week of 5 Oct, 113 account-content rows
  • Pantene: 43 distinct contents / 7 d · 435 account-content rows / 9 weeks. Peak: week of 12 Oct, 179 account-content rows
  • Urban Care: 12 distinct contents / 7 d · 460 account-content rows / 9 weeks. Peak: week of 5 Oct, 158 account-content rows

Weekly number of account-content rows (a co-authored content is a separate row for each account; the distinct content count is in the comparison table) (weeks start on Monday), 24 August – 25 October 2026, n = 1,570 account-content rows. Each panel's vertical scale is its own; for the level across brands see the previous page. The series shows nine weeks, from the week of 24 August to the report week, with the same matching. The tracked account base widened on 24–26 October: the posts and reels of the new accounts were completed 90 days back, while their stories exist only from the day they were added. For this reason story counts are not directly comparable across weeks; the weekly change was counted over two weeks with the same matching. The last point is the report week. Because the number of tracked accounts increased during the period, trends indicate direction; early weeks may look low.

  • Median reels plays 1,734; median ER per play 6.5% (n=8).
  • Busiest day Tuesday (54.3%), busiest hour 12:00.

Creative approach

  • All 82 creatives analysed are trial and review; the product was shown as a pack shot in 82.9%.
  • In 82.9% of the creatives the sales call is a discount code or basket offer; 9.8% call to follow the brand.
  • 84.1% of the creatives read as a new product launch; tone is 79.3% neutral and 20.7% informative.
  • Speech was transcribed in 9 of the 41 videos; stories mostly narrate through on-screen text.

Content structures

  • Story: product name and 'up to 25% off in the basket' on-screen text → redirect to the link; mostly a single frame.
  • Reels: routine intro → holding the rose-scented shampoo bottle up to the camera → clarifying use 1-2 times a week → scent emphasis.
  • Argan oil reels: dry ends problem → warming 1-2 pumps in the palm → applying to lengths and ends.

“Up to 25% off in the basket on Herbal Essences Argan Oil Elixir is waiting for you!”

“I'm starting my weekly hair care routine with a great touch”

Additional insights

Examples drawn from competitor activity that enrich the analysis; supporting data below.

Rising brand of the week: Herbal Essences (from stories)

Herbal Essences' content count rose from 14 on 12–18 October to 92 on 19–25 October (557.1% increase). The increase is entirely from stories: from 0 to 82; reels fell from 14 to 10.

Two weeks with the same matching: Herbal Essences 14 → 92, Bioxcin 60 → 70, Pantene 179 → 43, Urban Care 25 → 12. Stories are affected by the widening of the account base on 24–26 October; it does not count as market growth.

Reel of the week

The Pantene reel posted on 21 October is the sector's most-played of the week. The creator dyes her hair blue in the bathroom; the caption mentions @panteneturkiye as a hair care cream and states there is no collaboration.

Creator 36 (306,722 followers): 1,973,580 plays, 21,110 likes, 268 comments; ER per play 1.08%.

Story or reels?

Herbal Essences and Bioxcin leaned on stories, Urban Care on reels; Pantene split between the two. Stories were released on 19 October or in waves on 19–20 October.

Story share: Herbal Essences 89.1%, Bioxcin 82.9%, Pantene 44.2%, Urban Care 8.3%. 76 of Herbal Essences' 82 stories are on 19–20 October; 49 of Bioxcin's 58 stories are on 19 October.

Creator spread: a wide base and large accounts

87.9% of Herbal Essences' accounts are nano or micro; a third of the contents of Bioxcin and Urban Care come from macro and mega accounts.

Account count: Herbal Essences 74, Bioxcin 42, Pantene 41, Urban Care 11. Macro and mega content share: Urban Care 33.4%, Bioxcin 31.4%, Pantene 2.3%, Herbal Essences 0%.

The same accounts, stories in two brands

14 accounts shared content for both Herbal Essences and Pantene; the story waves of both brands started on 19 October, and both used ready-made on-screen text.

The bag gift is in the on-screen text of 14 of Pantene's 18 analysed stories, and the 25% discount sentence in 63 of Herbal Essences' 73 stories.

The sales call differed by brand

Herbal Essences leaned on discount codes in stories, Bioxcin on invitations without a call, and Pantene and Urban Care on calls to follow the brand.

Discount code: 82.9% of Herbal Essences' 82 creatives. No call: 79.4% of Bioxcin's 68 creatives. Follow the brand: 31.7% of Pantene's 41 creatives, 6 of Urban Care's 11 creatives.

Opportunities

Areas to differentiate for your brand, drawn from rivals' creator activity.

Opportunities for your brand

  1. Herbal Essences' stories repeated the same discount sentence on dozens of accounts. For your brand, a different angle per account separates it within the shared template.
  2. The most-played reel of the week mentioned the brand's cream as a side product in a dyeing video without any collaboration. For your brand, natural placement in daily-life videos could be tried.
  3. Bioxcin gathered its invitation stories into a single day and presented its hair products separately on the following days. For your brand, chaining the event moment with product narration extends recall.
  4. Pantene presented the same shine and heat-protection promise through many accounts. For your brand, having the promise built in each account's own routine language reduces the feeling of repetition.
  5. Only 2 of Urban Care's 9 reels put the brand forward; most appeared in multi-brand lists. For your brand, a reel focused on a single product stands apart from list mentions.
  6. Likes and plays are not visible in story waves. For your brand, pairing stories with a link and code and planning them together with reels makes measurement easier.

Method and limitations

Data source, brand matching, media analysis and limits.

Data source

  • Turkish Instagram accounts Starlecta tracks: about 12 thousand at the start of the week; the tracked base widened to about 51 thousand on 24–26 October; posts, reels and stories.
  • Period: 19 October – 25 October 2026 (7 days). Last 9-week series for the weekly trend (from the week of 24 August 2026).
  • In total 214 contents, 151 distinct accounts; the 3 contents naming more than one brand were counted separately for each brand.
  • Followers, category and audience (gender, age, city) information come from Starlecta profile data.
  • Even if a brand's tag, mention and link appear several times in the same content, the content was counted once for that brand.
  • Posts from the brands' own accounts were not counted.

Brand matching

Brand and sub-brand account tags (@), hashtags and brand names in the description text. Brands were selected as the top 4 brands with the most contents in the weekly ranking (tag and link matching; excluding the brand's own account and deal accounts). Frequently matched accounts:

  • Herbal Essences: @herbalessences
  • Bioxcin: @bioxcinturkiye, @bioxcin
  • Pantene: @panteneturkiye, @pantene
  • Urban Care: @urbancaretr

Media analysis

  • 202 unique creatives were analysed visually: images directly, videos through the opening frame and a 4-frame summary.
  • 44 of the 48 reels in the period were analysed from the video itself: four frames, the opening frame and the audio. The audio of the 52 videos containing speech was transcribed; the communication language was taken from these transcripts and the descriptions.
  • For each creative, content type, tone, product placement, setting, whether the creator is on camera, call to action and period/occasion were classified; one of the unique creatives was not classified.
  • Repeats of the same image across different accounts (perceptual similarity) were grouped as a single creative.

Limits and reading notes

  • The universe is not all of Instagram; absolute volumes are a lower bound. The number of tracked accounts grew over the last 9 weeks; weekly trends show direction.
  • For story contents, visibility is measured by content count; ad disclosure and performance are computed over posts and reels. Ad disclosure includes the 'Ücretsiz #reklam' tag on gifted products; contents noted 'reklam değil/yok' (not an ad) or 'kendim aldım' (bought it myself) do not enter the rate.
  • Sector news and deal/discount accounts were flagged separately; overlap and creative selections were prepared excluding these accounts.
  • A brand name appearing is not evidence of a paid collaboration.
  • The tracked account base widened on 24–26 October: posts and reels of the new accounts were completed 90 days back, while their stories exist from the day they were added. Therefore story counts are not directly comparable across weeks; the weekly change was counted with the same matching in both weeks.

Method notes

  • Period 19–25 October 2026 (Monday–Sunday, Turkey time); the brands are the top four with the most contents in the weekly ranking.
  • 44 of the 48 reels in the period were analysed from the video itself: four frames, the opening frame and the audio.
  • The weekly change comes from the nine-week series built with the same matching; because the account base widened on 24–26 October, story counts are not directly comparable across weeks.
  • Contents from deal and news accounts are included in the counts; they were not shown as collaboration examples.
